- Teach 16-20 regular classes per week
- Develop and implement instructional programs
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities
- Chaperon students off-campus a few times per year
- Work on some weekends/holidays for school functions
- Participate in committees and other assigned school roles
- Engage in general school duties like meetings, exam proctoring, and emergency support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies or related field (Master’s preferred)
- State Teaching Certification is plus
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese History and Government
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Ability to develop lesson plans and assessments independently
