Duties
- Process business funding applications from initial submission through underwriting review.
- Collect, review, and organize bank statements, credit summaries, applications, identification documents, contracts, and other required records.
- Confirm that each application is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Review bank statements for deposits, average monthly revenue, negative balances, returned payments, existing financing obligations, and other relevant activity.
- Enter application and financial information accurately into internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Prepare organized file summaries for the underwriting department.
- Maintain accurate digital records while protecting confidential business and financial information.
- Coordinate daily office activities and help maintain an organized and professional workplace.
- Perform additional processing and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in financial processing, commercial finance, banking, underwriting support, accounting, or office administration is preferred.
- Experience reviewing bank statements or other financial documents is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, email, document-management systems, and general office software.
- Strong data-entry, typing, proofreading, and recordkeeping skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify missing, inconsistent, or potentially inaccurate information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to learn.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to complete a background check as part of the hiring process, subject to applicable law.
