Bizmetric is seeking an experienced Application Architect with 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise application architecture, Java/Spring Boot development, AWS cloud services, Kafka streaming, and event-driven systems.
Prior experience working within the JPMC environment is required.
This role is best suited for a highly technical architect who can design, troubleshoot, and support scalable, resilient application architectures in a complex enterprise environment.
- Design and support scalable, reliable enterprise application architectures.
- Develop and support Java / Spring Boot-based application environments.
- Design and support event-driven processing using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Python, SQS, and SNS.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support Kafka streaming solutions.
- Assist with Kafka node setup, debugging, error handling, and operational issue resolution.
- Support API design, service routing, and application-level error handling.
- Contribute to database design using CockroachDB, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, or similar SQL databases.
- Design solutions with a focus on failover, resiliency, scalability, and high availability.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, DevOps, and business teams to resolve technical issues and support delivery.
- 10 years of relevant application architecture, software engineering, or enterprise technology experience.
- Prior experience working within the JPMC environment is required.
- Extensive hands-on experience programming with Java and Spring Boot.
- Extensive experience with event processing using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Python.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native application architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kafka streaming, including:
- Kafka node setup and configuration
- Error handling
- Debugging and troubleshooting
- Operational support for streaming workflows
- Strong experience with API design, service routing, and code-level error handling.
- Working knowledge of database design using CockroachDB, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, or similar SQL databases.
- Experience designing systems for failover, resiliency, scalability, and high availability.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience working in Agile or enterprise delivery environments.
- Ability to work closely with architecture, engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
