Position
Overview
BizFirst is
supporting our client in search of a full-time Information Assurance Analyst
III to support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for JPM CBRN
Protection. This position is responsible for providing cybersecurity support
aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), developing system accreditation
documentation, and ensuring secure integration with joint systems. The ideal
candidate will be detail-oriented, security-focused, and experienced in
supporting DoD information systems through the RMF process and system
accreditation lifecycle.

project execution, financial process optimization, advanced IT solutions, and
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Through innovative
transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations
for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.
What You will Do:
As an
Information Assurance Analyst III, you will work directly with the ISSM to
manage cybersecurity documentation and deliverables required for achieving and
maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) status. You will assess cybersecurity
risks, participate in technical reviews, and ensure systems align with DoD
directives and NIST security guidelines. You will also support system updates
in government certification tools such as eMASS and MCCAST, while facilitating
cross-agency collaboration and maintaining cybersecurity posture across
classified and unclassified systems.
Key
Responsibilities
- Support the ISSM in applying the
RMF process to obtain and maintain system Authorities to Operate (ATO).
- Draft and manage cybersecurity
documentation and artifacts to support program-level certification and
accreditation efforts.
- Conduct risk assessments for IT
programs and make recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Apply NIST 800-53 security controls
and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to system designs.
- Update certification and
accreditation data in systems such as eMASS and MCCAST.
- Interface with external
organizations to resolve issues related to security compliance and RMF
process roadblocks.
- Participate in IPTs related to
engineering, test, configuration management, and cybersecurity.
- Coordinate schedules with the
Government Lead to work onsite at least two days per week.
- Attend meetings in-person or
virtually and manage communications and documentation related to
cybersecurity initiatives.
Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity,
information assurance, information security, or a related field — OR a
non-IT degree with valid DoD 8570.01-compliant professional certifications
- Must hold or be able to obtain an
Information System Security Manager (ISSM) certification within six (6)
months of assignment (at no cost to the Government)
- Must maintain compliance with DoD
Directive 8570.01 certification requirements
- Experience with RMF, system
accreditation, and supporting ATO documentation
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53,
STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity protocols
- Ability to support classified
system documentation and work in secure environments
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
required.
