About the Role

Hendricks Real Estate is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive portfolio growth by securing new property management clients and building stronger referral relationships throughout the local real estate community.

This is a highly impactful role where you’ll be working both company-generated leads and self-generated leads, building relationships with referral sources, contributing to marketing initiatives, and ultimately converting prospects into clients. We provide extensive training, robust resources, and ongoing support to set you up for success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Management & Sales Execution

  • Drive new business growth by securing new property management clients
  • Respond quickly and professionally to incoming owner and investor leads
  • Conduct outreach through phone, text, email, and in-person meetings
  • Run consultative sales conversations with property owners and investors
  • Explain Hendricks Real Estate’s property management services and value proposition
  • Help guide prospective clients through the sales process
  • Follow up consistently with prospects who are not ready to move forward right away
  • Work toward clear growth goals and monthly business development activity expectations


Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners (agents, mortgage lenders, investors, etc.)
  • Conduct outreach including warm and cold calls
  • Execute social media and content strategies to build brand awareness and generate leads
  • Attend local networking events and industry meetups as a representative of Hendricks Real Estate, building relationships and generating new business opportunities
  • Conduct in-person presentations to referral partners, promoting Hendricks Real Estate’s referral program to generate new business opportunities


Client Meetings & Relationship Building

  • Host in-person, phone, and virtual meetings with prospective clients
  • Build trust with property owners by understanding their goals, concerns, and rental property needs
  • Provide information on Hendricks Real Estate’s services, systems, and local market expertise
  • Build long-term relationships with investors, agents, and referral partners


Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Track leads, activity, follow-ups, and opportunities in the CRM
  • Maintain organized notes and clear next steps for every prospect
  • Follow a consistent follow-up process so no opportunities fall through the cracks
  • Help improve structure around lead tracking, lead nurturing, and business development activity


Marketing & Brand Contribution

  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives, videos, and campaigns
  • Support client engagement and retention initiatives
  • Create and post content, including self-facing (on camera) video, to build brand awareness and generate leads


Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Maintain clear communication across departments


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven sales experience (phone in-person closing ability)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable generating business through outreach and networking
  • Coachable and willing to follow a structured sales/business development process
  • Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline and follow-ups
  • Professional, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Willingness to create video/content for social media
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


Location & Work Setup

This is a full-time role based in Austin, Texas. The office location is 1901 Matthews Lane, Austin, TX 78745.


Candidates must reside the Austin, Texas area as this role includes:

  • Regular in-person meetings with property owners
  • Meetings with referral partners and presentations
  • Active participation in local networking events


This role requires a strong local presence and comfort with face-to-face interaction.


Compensation

  • Base Salary: $65,000

Uncapped Commission with earning potential tied to individual performance


On-Target Earnings

  • Average Performers: $80K–$110K
  • Top Performers: $110K–$130K
