Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Compliance Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our growing Legal & Compliance team. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring, maintaining, and improving our regulatory compliance framework. You will collaborate closely with risk, underwriting, legal, and technology teams to ensure that both our marketplace lending activities and SaaS partnerships adhere to applicable financial services laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Monitoring: Assist in monitoring compliance with key consumer and commercial financial regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Fair Lending (ECOA), TILA, GLBA, and state-specific lending/MCA regulations.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform routine transactional testing and compliance reviews of small business loan originations, underwriting decisions, and marketing materials.
• SaaS & Partner Support: Support compliance oversight for the enterprise Biz2X AI platform and institutional bank partnerships, ensuring alignment with partner bank compliance requirements.
• Audit & Reporting Support: Help compile documentation, data validation, and reports for internal audits, state examinations, and institutional partner reviews.
• Policy Maintenance: Assist in updating compliance manuals, policies, and procedures to reflect evolving state and federal lending laws.
• Issue Remediation: Track compliance gaps or audit findings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective remediation.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years of compliance experience, specifically within a Fintech company, alternative lender, or financial services firm.
• Regulatory Foundational Knowledge: Good working knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC/KYB practices, and federal/state lending guidelines.
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze underlying data and identify compliance risks or trends.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating digital financial platforms, CRM/compliance tools, and leveraging data to optimize workflows.
• Communication: Clear, concise communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across different departments (Risk, Product, Marketing).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
