Job Summary: The Shop Parts Runner is responsible for supporting shop and field mechanics by obtaining, delivering, and organizing parts and supplies needed to maintain and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role plays a critical part in keeping equipment operational by ensuring timely parts delivery, accurate tracking, and basic shop support.
Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.
Job Duties & Requirements:

- Pick up and deliver parts, fluids, and supplies from vendors, dealerships, and suppliers
- Deliver parts to job sites, yards, and shop locations as needed
- Coordinate with mechanics and shop leadership to prioritize urgent parts runs
- Assist with receiving, checking, and stocking parts and materials in the shop
- Maintain organization of parts storage areas and assist with inventory tracking
- Verify parts accuracy against work orders or purchase lists
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining shop areas, vehicles, and parts storage areas
- Perform basic errands related to shop operations (returns, exchanges, core drop‑offs)
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT and company policies
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE while in shop and field environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate pickup trucks or light‑duty vehicles safely
- Basic familiarity with automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment parts preferred
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work flexible hours during construction season
