Bitterroot Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Montana.
Job Summary
A surgical technologist works under medical supervision to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. This individual works under the supervision of a surgeon to ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions appropriately, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Maintain aseptic technique and sterile environment
- Prepare and arrange instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for surgical procedures
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials
Requirements
To be successful as a Surgical Technologist at Bitterroot Health, you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
- Current BCLS Certification
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements as defined by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST)
