Duties
- Instructing beginner wheel-throwing classes, setting up equipment, materials, and ensuring a welcoming environment for participants
- Support the planning and preparation of studio activities, workshops, and special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space, including equipment and supplies
- Greet students, visitors, and staff with enthusiasm, providing tours of the studio, excellent customer service and answering general inquiries
- Help assist with members as needed
- Support and assist other instructors
- Contribute to creating a lively, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and community engagement
Requirements
- Prior experience wheel-throwing is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative independently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and support various studio activities
- University experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with academic or creative environments
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light equipment or supplies as needed
