About Bits & Bows

Bits & Bows is a premium children’s brand rooted in a playfully polished aesthetic—where timeless style meets joyful, elevated design. From our signature Bow Baseball Hats to thoughtfully crafted accessories and apparel, we create pieces that feel classic, collectible, and giftable.

We are building a brand that lives at the intersection of heritage, storytelling, and modern retail—and we are looking for exceptional talent to help us scale.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven, detail-oriented, and product-minded Associate Merchant to join our in-office team. This role sits at the heart of the business—owning the execution and optimization of our product assortment across DTC, wholesale, and marketplace channels.

You will work closely with leadership, design, ecommerce, and operations to ensure every product we launch is intentional, commercially strong, and aligned with our brand vision.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build, not just manage.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssortment Strategy & Product Development
  • Support the development of seasonal assortments with a focus on hero products and scalable, repeatable winners
  • Help define SKU architecture across categories (hats, accessories, apparel) and size ranges
  • Identify opportunities to expand best sellers (e.g., new colorways, motifs, seasonal variations)
  • Partner with design to ensure product concepts align with both brand standards and commercial performance
Product Setup & Systems Ownership
  • Own product creation and maintenance in Shopify and internal systems
  • Ensure accuracy across all product data: naming, pricing, variants, descriptions, and imagery
  • Support GTIN/SKU setup and readiness for wholesale and marketplace distribution
  • Maintain clean, scalable product organization across channels
Performance & Inventory Analysis
  • Monitor weekly sales, sell-through, and inventory across DTC, wholesale, and marketplaces
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities—especially within top-performing SKUs and categories
  • Support inventory planning decisions, including reorders, depth, and markdown strategy
  • Build and maintain reporting to drive smarter merchandising decisions
Go-to-Market & Launch Execution
  • Partner with ecommerce and marketing teams to support product launches and storytelling
  • Ensure all products are set up accurately and on time for key seasonal moments
  • Help align launch timing across DTC and wholesale (ensuring we don’t miss peak selling windows)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with design, production, and fulfillment to track product timelines and readiness
  • Partner with wholesale and key account teams to ensure assortments are optimized for retail partners
  • Support marketplace execution (Maisonette, etc.) with a focus on visibility and performance
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or retail planning (apparel or consumer products preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (data analysis, reporting, and organization)
  • Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms is a plus
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, in-office environment
  • Bachelor's Degree required
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong product instinct—you understand what sells and why
  • A balance of analytical thinking and aesthetic judgment
  • Someone proactive, scrappy, and excited to build within a growing brand
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, high-expectation environment
  • Passion for premium children’s product, storytelling, and brand building
Why Bits & Bows
  • Be part of a fast-growing brand with strong momentum and clear product-market fit
  • High ownership and direct exposure to leadership and decision-making
  • Opportunity to help shape hero products
  • A creative, entrepreneurial environment where ideas turn into product and strategy quickly
