What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Mining Operations Engineer position at Bitfufu?
Job Responsibilities:
1.Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of various mainstream Bitcoin mining machines (e.g., Antminer, WhatsMiner, and other major brands), including inspecting key hardware components such as hash boards, power supply units, control boards, and fans to identify potential issues in advance.
2.Diagnose and resolve equipment issues such as hashrate fluctuations, system crashes, overheating alerts, and other operational faults quickly and accurately, ensuring minimal downtime.
3.Stay up to date with firmware updates released by mining machine manufacturers, conduct testing and validation of new firmware, and ensure optimized batch deployment across the site.
4.Provide improvement suggestions based on the operational performance of mining machines and on-site infrastructure conditions, assisting the infrastructure team in optimizing facility layouts and operating environments.
5.Develop troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for different miner models to ensure fast, standardized, and efficient issue resolution.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Computer Hardware, Automation, or a related field.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in mining machine operations and maintenance, with a strong understanding of hardware architecture, operating principles, and common repair methods for major mining machine brands.
-Proficient in computer software operations, including firmware upgrades, system configuration optimization, and basic Linux command-line operations (preferred).
-Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail; able to thrive in high-intensity, high-pressure mining environments, and remain on-call 24/7 to handle critical issues and ensure stable hashrate performance.
-Good teamwork and communication skills, capable of collaborating closely with infrastructure teams such as electrical engineers and network engineers to support overall data center operations.
-Able to travel internationally for extended periods; candidates holding a valid 10-year U.S. business visa are preferred.
-Basic English communication skills are required; fluent English communication is a strong plus.
