Bite Me Cookie is a fast-growing food manufacturing company that specializes in producing high-quality, artisanal cookies. We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team to oversee and manage the production of our delicious cookies.
The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production line while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience managing production in the food manufacturing industry and will be able to lead a team of production staff effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the daily production schedule to ensure the timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor and ensure that production processes are efficient and cost-effective.
- Oversee the production line and ensure that products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage a team of production staff and ensure that they are trained, motivated, and performing to the best of their abilities.
- Maintain and improve the production process, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize productivity.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished products are available to meet production demands.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and control production costs to ensure that budgets are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing a team of production staff.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related field, preferred, not required.
- At least 2 years of experience in production management in the food manufacturing industry, preferred, not required.
