Equipment Engineer
(SMT/DIP/Assembly/Testing)

About the Role:

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all manufacturing equipment across SMT, DIP, assembly, and testing processes. This includes installation, commissioning, maintenance, and timely resolution of equipment failures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the installation and commissioning of new SMT, DIP, assembly, and testing equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all assigned equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment to ensure continuous and normal operation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment failures in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance data.
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize equipment performance and support process improvements.
• Train production and maintenance technicians on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency and capability.
• Ensure all equipment operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (typically 5 years) as an Equipment Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably with SMT, DIP, assembly, and/or testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
• Familiarity with PLC programming, robotics, and automation systems is a significant plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary : $125,000 - $200,000
