Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems
- Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas adhere to food safety standards
- Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support restaurant staff by communicating guest needs clearly and managing seating flow seamlessly
- Utilize POS systems to update reservation statuses and assist with guest check-ins if needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and billing support when necessary
- Familiarity with food safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
- Hospitality-oriented mindset focused on creating positive guest experiences and building guest relations
Pay: $12.94 - $14.83 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 15.0 per week
