Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take orders accurately using POS systems
• Assist with food preparation and food handling to support kitchen staff and uphold food safety standards
• Upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling duties, including cashiering and balancing registers at the end of shifts
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing work areas, and adhering to sanitation protocols
• Support food safety practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
• Ensure timely service by managing time effectively during busy hours in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or retail environments with a focus on customer interaction
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation standards within the food industry
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
• Kitchen experience or café background is a plus, along with familiarity with grocery store operations or quick service restaurants
