Job Description
Overview
The Sr. Brand Coordinator is responsible for assisting a marketing category in the implementation and execution of the marketing plan for both new and existing products. The Sr. Brand Coordinator is the entry level position in the marketing department. The individual in this role will learn the fundamentals of marketing – consumer understanding, analysis, market research, product development, packaging – in addition to interaction with other critical departments required to grow the business – sales, ID, R&D, etc. It is the expectation that the individual will grow significantly in this position and be promoted up within the department.
Responsibilities
Commercialize 5+ secondary or derivative products:
Structure the product (definition of what the product is)
Represent Marketing and the Voice of the Consumer on the GPD team
Define volumes and financials
Manage Windchill process
Develop package graphics (write copy and specify visual) and POP graphics
Establish timelines
Work with Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain
Understand the consumer
Write up conclusions and analysis from qualitative research;
Write up conclusions and analysis from at least one major piece of quantitative market research/year;
Be integrally involved in establishing objectives, strategies and execution of at least one qualitative session/year.
Volume analysis – conducts strategic analysis monthly, define conclusions and make recommendations. Analyze by product, competitor, TV advertising, trade merchandising to learn what is driving or negatively affecting the business.
Competitive analysis for new and current products as it relates to pricing, features and packaging.
Responsible for managing competitive claims matrix by retailer, which includes updating store product scope, current product claims and current product features - weekly.
Assist in the development of glossy, multi-page magalogs, catalog sheets and any other additional promotional tools for the category.
Ensure sales and internal presentations have current, up to date information. Coordinate product/samples/cartons for sales calls and internal/customer presentations.
Write user’s guides for new products, maintain/update for existing products.
Trade Shows – execute to strategy including products, graphics, create product demonstrations.
Receive, review, notify Google alerts for competitive and category information.
Manage maintenance issues such as Product Obsolescence forms, Product Request forms, Inserts, etc.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports, and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home or while travelling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.
