By guiding and supporting a team of Lease Operators, you ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, environmental compliance, and equipment performance. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Lead daily upstream field operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient oil and gas production

• Supervise and support Lease Operators and field personnel, set priorities and ensure work is performed to company standards

• Champion safety by enforcing company policies and compliance with COGCC, CDPHE, EPA, and other applicable regulations

• Conduct safety meetings, field observations, JSAs, and audits; exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary

• Oversee operation and maintenance of wells, production equipment, and facilities, including artificial lift, separators, tanks, compressors, and flowlines

• Identify production, mechanical, or operational issues and lead troubleshooting and corrective actions

• Collaborate with Production, Facilities, and other engineering teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production data, maintenance activities, and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate field activities with contractors, service providers, dispatch, and internal stakeholders.

• Support environmental compliance efforts, including inspections, spill prevention, emissions awareness, and waste management

• Train, coach, and mentor field personnel to promote consistent, reliable, and safe operations.

• Work outdoors year‑round in variable weather and field conditions and operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy

Education and Experience (required):

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 7 years of upstream oil and gas operations experience.

• Prior experience in a Lease Operator or senior field role required; demonstrated leadership, lead operator, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of Colorado regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.


Other Requirements: 

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

o Position is subject to ongoing drug testing as a term of continued employment. 

• Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle report, and good driving habits

• Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship 


Additional Information

Compensation: 

Our cash compensation for this role is targeted at $95,200-152,300 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

Location:

This position is located Hereford, Colorado. This position isn’t available for remote work. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, no relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.


Work Environment:

This position operates in a field environment. This entails working outside in variable weather conditions. Employee could be exposed to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations or dust.


Physical Demands:

In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position. 


Position Type and Working Hours:

This is a full-time position. This position will require working nights and weekends occasionally as dictated by the operational needs of the field. Typical work hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Employees must be capable and willing to work overtime as required. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.


Travel:

Routine, even daily, travel to remote locations will be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, or visits to other company office locations.
