What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spin Off Block Oper 705 2nd shift grade 7 position at BISON METALS TECHNOLOGIES LLC?
SCOPE:
Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Uses appropriate safety measures
- Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained
- Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
- Follows applicable work instructions.
- Use good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
- Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
- Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: Micrometer, pins, dies, hacksaw, hammer, small hand tools.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Draw copper tubing to a specified O.D. and wall requirement per draw schedule.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION:
JOB DESCRIPTION: Use proper pins and dies as prescribed by draw schedule. Point coils and set up block for drawing. Operate block at specified FPM and/94 AMP rating. Make necessary changes as required to meet proper tolerances (tolerances of tube wall or - .0005: tube O.D. or -.002). Check first coil of next to last cycle and last cycle for proper dimensions. Job requires above visual and mental demand for safety and quality of product. Responsible for maintaining quantity and cleanliness of issued pins and die sets. Notify supervisor of maintenance required and assist maintenance if required. Perform minor repairs if possible. Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean, and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
