Duties
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to achieve smooth, level surfaces according to project specifications.
- Set up and dismantle formwork using concrete forming techniques, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Install rebar reinforcement by cutting, bending, and securing steel bars to strengthen concrete structures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks such as cutting, grinding, or shaping materials.
- Support heavy lifting activities with appropriate equipment or manual effort to move materials around the site.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately.
- Perform site cleanup and organize materials to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience with exposure to concrete work preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings clearly.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, masonry, metal stud framing, or roofing is a plus.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols related to concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, and renovation projects.
