Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Butcher, located in Crownsville, MD. The primary responsibilities include processing and preparing various types of meat, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and maintaining product quality standards. The role involves cutting, weighing, packaging, and labeling meat products along with maintaining cleanliness and ensuring food safety standards. The Butcher will also assist customers in making product selections and provide excellent customer service.
Butcher may also be required to assist with stocking and handling of deliveries. Please note that Urdu language speakers are highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Expertise in butchery, meat processing, and handling poultry and seafood
- Strong customer service skills to assist patrons with product selection and inquiries
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety, and follow health and hygiene regulations
- Detail-oriented with knowledge of proper meat storage, cutting techniques, and portion control
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the food and beverage industry is preferred
