Position Description & Details
What You’ll Be Doing:
Responsibilities Include:
- Coaching and developing talented student-athletes who bring the fire to both the court and the classroom
- Assisting the Head Coach in crafting killer practice plans and game-day strategies
- Traveling with the team to competitions and repping our program with pride
- Teaching technique, game rules, and smart strategies
- Promoting sportsmanship, hustle, and that unshakable team-first mindset
- Scheduling and running practices that are high-energy, productive, and fun
- Encouraging students to stay on top of their academics—and reminding them that champions pass their classes too
- Bring your creative ideas to the table—help us make the program even better
- Be ready to tackle any curveballs
Minimum Requirements
- High School or College coaching and/or participation in Volleyball.
- Effective public and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of a specific sport’s concepts/strategies and NAIA rules and regulations.
- Recruiting skills and ability to assess athletic talent.
- Leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to serve as a positive role model.
- Ability to sell the College and its athletic program to potential students.
- Good computer software skills – Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.), email, and electronic calendar.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School or College coaching and/or participation experience.
