Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and safety procedures to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger details while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and empathy during every interaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type being operated; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle size.
- Experience with paratransit or heavy lifting tasks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure safety standards are met.
