COOK HELPER - LESS THAN 20 Hours per week
Earns Sick Hours, Holidays Paid at Time and a half when on shift, AFLAC supplemental insurance available, EAP available at no cost to the employee.
Assist in the preparation of palatable and attractive meals in sufficient quantities for residents’ meals, monitor food served relative to appearance, temperature, sanitary and quality standards and portion control.
Ensure sanitary conditions. All work areas of the kitchen meet or exceed health department requirements.
Ensure accurate labeling and dating and proper food handling measures are followed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with stocking, inventory, and truck unloading.
Must be able to lift, move and shelve supplies up to 35 pounds.
Must have good communication skills ability to read, comprehend and follow written and oral directions and food safety rules.
Must have ability to weekends or holidays as needed.
Must be serv safe certified or must be willing to become certified.
Posted wage includes $0.85/hour essential worker bonus.
