Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication skills
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling, processing payments, and maintaining accurate sales records with retail math proficiency
- Utilize inventory management tools such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track parts availability and reorder supplies as needed
- Assist in marketing efforts by promoting special offers, new products, or services to enhance customer engagement
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety standards and ensuring efficient stock rotation and stocking procedures
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or taking orders remotely
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or dealership environments is highly preferred, especially with automotive parts or service departments
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, automotive service procedures, and vehicle maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS platforms, and Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
- Proven negotiation skills to effectively upsell products or services while maintaining customer trust
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and familiarity with dealership processes will be advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills combined with strong communication skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
