What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewer position at Bishop Lifting Products Inc?

Job Purpose:
The Sewer will utilize the industrial sewing machine to manufacture synthetic slings and other materials.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair synthetic slings and assemblies; and
- Coordinate the production of orders with the Production Manager;
- Maintain a safe working environment, and ensure that fabricated items are manufactured to BLP's quality standards; and
- Ensure that test samples of fabricated items are forwarded to the Production Manager as required.
- Perform other functions as required.
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in a production environment, specifically with industrial sewing equipment highly preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
