About the Position Bishop Garcia Diego High School seeks a talented, student-centered Resource Specialist dedicated to educating the whole person. We strive to attract a culturally and academically diverse faculty who are eager to become engaged participants in our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate delivers tailored instructional experiences that meet individual student needs while modeling our core values of Compassion, Perseverance, and Respect. Our Unique Environment Our Resource Program serves a small, focused cohort of students with diagnosed mild learning differences. This position offers a highly manageable caseload, working with approximately 30 students. We focus on providing adjustments consistent with post-secondary and College Board standards, ensuring our students are prepared for a successful transition to higher education. We do not modify the curriculum. Primary Responsibilities Case Management: Design and implement Minor Adjustment Plans (MAPs) for each student based on psycho-educational evaluations. Instructional Support: Provide individualized instruction that supports the general classroom curriculum while fostering student self-advocacy. Assessment: Evaluate student progress and utilize data to develop competencies and transition goals. Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers, therapists, parents, and district professionals to develop MAPs and regular assessments. Testing Coordination: Serve as the SSD Coordinator for College Board and ACT accommodation applications. Admissions Support: Work with the admissions team to evaluate prospective students for inclusion in the Resource program.

Special Education Credential (HIGHLY DESIRED). Teaching Credential (REQUIRED) Strong communication skills for frequent parent and faculty collaboration.
