Position Type: Full-time, 10-month (Academic Year) with occasional evening/weekends
Reports to: Director of Campus Ministry
Position Overview
The Campus Minister serves as a key member of the Campus Ministry team, which includes two Campus Ministers and the Director of Campus Ministry, supporting the faith formation and spiritual life of the school community. Rooted in the mission of Bishop Feehan’s Mercy charism, this role assists in creating opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to grow in their relationship with Christ through prayer, worship, service, fellowship, and leadership.
The Campus Minister collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry, faculty, and administration to provide programs and experiences that foster a vibrant Catholic identity and engage students in living out the Gospel with joy, mercy, justice, and compassion. Campus Ministers teach two (2) courses of Theology. The team enjoys a dedicated Campus Ministry Center and active support from school leadership and members of the faculty and staff. The team offers programs and initiatives in the areas of student leadership, sacramental worship, retreats, service trips, community and fellowship activities, and more.
Qualifications
Experience in youth ministry, campus ministry, or retreat leadership (preferably at the high school level)
A practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage adolescents in matters of faith
Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and to take initiative and to work independently when needed
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, before school, or school vacation weeks
Strong skills in organization, event planning, and program coordination
