What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator Mid position at Bishop & Company, Inc.?
Bishop & Company is looking for a Systems Administrator to support a government contractor at Kaneohe Bay. In this role, you’ll help keep computer systems and networks running smoothly, assist with upgrades, and make sure everything works as expected for users on base.
***Oahu candidates are preferred for this on-site role. Applicants must be eligible for a Secret clearance. Relocation is not available.***
What You’ll Do
- Help maintain and troubleshoot printers, print servers, and some virtual servers.
- Provide second-level support for local and wide area networks (LAN, BAN, WAN).
- Review how customers use technology and suggest improvements.
- Work with project teams to install new systems or upgrade existing ones.
- Create simple plans to guide changes and updates.
- Stay up to date on new technologies and recommend ways to improve performance and reduce costs.
What You Need
- CompTIA Security certification (required).
- Ability to earn an additional certification within 6 months, such as:
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
- Experience working with printers, print servers, and virtual servers.
- Knowledge of computer networks and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: previous military or government contract experience
Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $44-48 /hour. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
