Duties
- Mow lawns using various power tools and hand tools to achieve a clean, even appearance.
- Trim trees, bushes, and shrubs with pruning shears, hedge trimmers, or chainsaws to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain landscapes by planting flowers, shrubs, or grass and ensuring proper irrigation systems are functioning effectively.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or other landscaping equipment for hardscape installation or site preparation.
- Perform seasonal tasks like snow plowing to keep properties accessible and safe during winter months.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, removal, or planting to support healthy growth and landscape design.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery.
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or related outdoor work.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape design to enhance property aesthetics.
- Ability to use hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes efficiently and safely.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance for optimal watering practices.
