What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian Assistant position at BISCUITS & BATH COMPANIES?
You are responsible for ensuring that all of the dogs in Biscuits & Bath’s care are receiving a well-rounded program of wellness and preventative medical care. You are also responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Veterinarians with administering medications and drawing blood (under direct supervision of Veterinarian)
- Restraining animals for procedures
- Cleaning and upkeep of Veterinarian offices as needed
- Light clerical duties as needed
- Relationship Development
- Cultivating relationships with all clients
- Communicating with clients on a daily basis in the lobby and by phone
- Returning all client calls same day
- Distributing topical information to the entire client base
Performance Metrics:
- Number of incidents and health-related issues
- Client loyalty
- Number and quality of veterinarian relationships
- High School diploma or GED.
- One to two years of related experience.
- Genuine interest in the well-being of dogs.
- Ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities, while balancing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
- High degree of independent decision-making and problem-solving capability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50 lbs, kneel, stand for long periods of time and perform requirements of the job.
Salary : $21 - $23
