Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and assist with special requests to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and openTable reservations with precision and efficiency
- Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist in food preparation or plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff during peak hours
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing concerns promptly and fostering positive guest relations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively and build guest rapport
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
- Experience with food industry tools like serving trays, bussing supplies, or kitchen equipment is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude that promotes guest satisfaction
