Position Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform detailed inspections of commercial aviation engine parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all parts meet strict aerospace industry standards while contributing to process improvements and maintaining compliance with quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Part Inspections
- Perform thorough inspections of aviation parts using OEM technical data, FAA/EASA airworthiness directives, work scopes, and Zeiss GOM software to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable specifications.
- Tag parts serviceable, unserviceable, or rejected based on results. Generate Inspection Reports for modules/mini modules as required.
- Conduct 3D scanning, surface analysis, and dimensional inspections to identify deviations or defects.
- Learn and become a power user in the use of the ATOS 3D scanner and TRITOP Digital Photogrammetry measurement systems as well as Bischoff proprietary and industry standard automated solutions.
Metrology and Measurement Analysis
- Analyze and interpret 3D scanning data to verify part geometry and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements.
- Evaluate and compare scan results to CAD models to detect non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop automated inspection routines and optimize scanning processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies by maintaining high-quality standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the inspection processes using advanced metrology techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and reduce inspection lead times.
Required Qualifications:
Education / Certification
- Prefer a Powerplant License or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, and inspections.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of technical related experience (inspections, metrology solutions, quality control, CAD/CAM is a benefit)
Technical Skills
- Experience with interpreting turbine engine OEM technical data/manuals
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, CAD models, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in operating and programming Zeiss GOM systems and analyzing scan data.
- Experience with 3D metrology, dimensional analysis, and non-contact scanning techniques.
- Experience with inspection measurement devices (micrometer, caliper, etc.)
Soft Skills
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and alongside Quality Control team.
- Ability to articulate technical information in a simple and concise manner.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
