Real Estate Analyst

A private real estate investment & lending firm in Miami is seeking an Investment Associate to support underwriting, financial analysis, and investor reporting across residential and commercial bridge loan transactions. This role offers broad exposure to credit, valuations, capital markets, and structured real estate finance.

What You’ll Do

• Underwrite residential and commercial real estate loans using valuation methods such as sales comps, income approach, DCF, and IRR.
• Conduct internal asset valuations and run sales/rental comparables.
• Prepare appraisal requests and lender valuation packages.
• Analyze ground-up development opportunities (zoning, FAR, setbacks, highest & best use).
• Project key financial metrics including LTV, DSCR, debt yield, rental income, and stabilized performance.
• Prepare loan summaries and present findings to the internal credit team.
• Support loan review, processing, and closing coordination.
• Update and maintain financial models used across lending and portfolio functions.
• Assess collateral and counterparty risk for new transactions.
• Manage investor reporting, cash flow tracking, and performance summaries.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation of finance workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of experience in Real Estate Finance, ideally with a lender, bank, fund, brokerage, commercial appraisal firm, or developer.
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential debt, deal structures, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel and real estate valuation methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Real Estate.
• Advanced degree (MBA or MSRE) is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and confident presenting to decision-makers.
