Are you a highly motivated and compliant cannabis retail professional ready to take the next step in your career? Bisa Lina is seeking an experienced Agent in Charge (AIC) to help lead our team and support the daily operations of our fast-paced dispensary. As an AIC, you will be a key-holder and on-shift supervisor, ensuring our team delivers an outstanding customer experience while upholding strict state cannabis regulations.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the designated Agent in Charge during assigned shifts, overseeing all day-to-day retail operations.
- Support the store and assistant managers with daily tasks, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance checks.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to all dispensary staff, including budtenders, receptionists, and inventory agents.
- Assist with inventory control processes, including receiving products, performing cycle counts, and ensuring accurate tracking in the state's inventory system (e.g., Metrc).
- Deliver best-in-class customer service by actively working the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities, including sales, cash reconciliations, and customer transactions.
- Ensure the dispensary is clean, organized, and prepared for both business and impromptu inspections.
- Coordinate with upper management to communicate policy updates and operational changes to staff.
- Help train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to ensure the team is up-to-date on products, policies, and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a retail setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities, preferably within the cannabis industry.
- 6–12 months of prior experience as an Agent in Charge is a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of Illinois' cannabis regulations and a strong commitment to compliance.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) software and cannabis tracking systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain an Illinois cannabis agent card and pass all required background checks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
Additional requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
