The National Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and managing sales within a defined U.S. territory. This individual will build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at grocery chains, food processors, and independent butcher operations. - Develop and execute a territory business plan to drive revenue growth across assigned region.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business with grocery chains, processors, and meat markets.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through consistent contact, relationship building, and consultative selling.
- Conduct on-site and virtual equipment demonstrations and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, marketing) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Attend national and regional industry trade shows and association events.
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting data within the company’s CRM system.
- Provide market intelligence, pricing feedback, and competitor insights to leadership.
- Uphold company values of integrity, responsiveness, and professionalism in all client interactions.
Required:
- 3 years of sales experience in food processing, grocery equipment, foodservice supplies, or related B2B industrial sales.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a multi-state territory.
- Strong technical aptitude; able to learn and present mechanical and supply solutions confidently.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating across a remote team.
- Willingness to travel regionally and attend industry events.
Preferred:
- Experience selling to grocery chains, meat processors, or food distributors.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Existing network within the grocery or food manufacturing industries.
