PRN (Two - Three Days Per Week)

Responsibilities/Accountabilities
We have an amazing opportunity for Cooks who can:
- Cook foods in a manner that preserves nutrients and produces an attractive, appetizing, and palatable product
- Organize and plan food preparation to coordinate with meal serving hours
- Determine the amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus
- Must be able to lift without restrictions
- Complete other duties as assigned
Experience/Skills/Education
Required:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Able to work weekends
- Must have at least one-year food service experience in a nursing home, hospital or similar healthcare facility
- Must have at least six months of experience cooking in an institutional setting
- Knowledge of large-scale food production equipment is required.
Preferred:
- Some knowledge of special dietary menus
- Previous experience in an institutional food setting
- Exposure to the senior population
- Desire to serve and care for the senior population
