Posting Name : Mechanical Designer III
Schedule : M – T, 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM and Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 AM
Join the Birdon team and help ensure USCG boats are safe and reliable!
Our Mechanical Designers are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include :
- Develop SolidWorks 3D models and associated 2D drawings for existing and new products.
- Create drawings to assist manufacturing with tools, jigs, fixtures.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and recommend solutions.
- Ability to select vendor hardware / parts that are compatible with systems and customer requirements.
- Organize and maintain drawing file configurations and storage.
- Process engineering changes and engineering related corrective actions and revise drawings to refine products based on input from engineering and production personnel.
- Create product illustrated parts diagrams and write product manuals.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
If you have at least 10 years’ experience of marine designing, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine or manufacturing industry, we want to talk to you!
