Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, ensuring swift and friendly service.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing payments and providing correct change.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling regulations at all times.
- Engage with guests to create an inviting environment, providing exceptional customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, recognizing signs of intoxication and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts to ensure smooth operations without delays.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators during catering, banquet, or nightclub events to meet specific service needs.
- Uphold all health and safety standards related to food safety, alcohol service, and general cleanliness throughout the venue.
- Assist in training new team members on POS systems like Micros or Aloha POS, as well as proper serving techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively while maintaining high-quality service.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in fast-paced environments within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Experience with retail math for cash handling, sales tracking, and inventory management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea for café-style settings is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days such as banquets or nightlife functions.
