Senior Project Manager Engineering

Birdi Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex infrastructure, systems, and low-voltage Design/Build projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all facets of project management—budgeting, scheduling, team leadership, compliance, and client relations—particularly within commercial, aviation, and transportation environments.This role requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines, from internal teams to third-party vendors. Experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV), and low-voltage communications or a related field is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex projects through all phases—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeoutCoordinate internal resources, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless executionDefine project scope, objectives, and deliverables involving all relevant stakeholdersDevelop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plansTrack project performance using appropriate tools and report regularly to senior leadershipAnticipate, identify, and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changesMaintain comprehensive documentation including reports, change orders, and client communicationEnsure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements including local/state/federal building codesConduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issuesBuild and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycleManage Client Expectations and Contract ScopeFacilitate meetings, project reviews, and updates across teamsQualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)Minimum of 8 years proven experience in project management; 3 years in a technical/engineering role preferredDemonstrated experience managing commercial projects and/or transportation/airport infrastructureStrong knowledge of construction procedures, project management principles, low-voltage systems, and physical security systemsPMP Certification is a plusFamiliarity with MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management softwareIn-depth knowledge of cost estimation, procurement, and inventory controlsOutstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesExperience managing electrical/low voltage installations is highly desirableAdditional Requirements: Ability to pass TSA background check and/or other airport security clearancesWe are a forward-thinking systems integrator focused on delivering innovative solutions in critical infrastructure, transportation, and security.
