Operations Manager

Position Overview:

BSI is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead enterprise IT Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities in support of a classified DoD customer located at the Pentagon. This role is responsible for ensuring operational stability, resource optimization, production schedule adherence, and high-quality IT service delivery across a complex technical environment.

The ideal candidate is a senior IT operations leader with deep experience in ITSM best practices, federal environments, and DoD enterprise operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in IT Operations utilizing ITSM best practices within the Federal Government, preferably in a DoD environment
• Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in a senior IT management role in a Federal Government or DoD environment
• Current DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification
• Meet requirements in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 – System Administrator Core Competencies defined within the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework
• Active or current Top Secret security clearance adjudicated by DIA or DoD CAF
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Technology

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage LSB Systems Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities
• Ensure production schedules are met, including deployments, system imaging, patch management cycles, and update schedules
• Ensure LSB Systems resources are allocated and utilized effectively
• Coordinate and resolve production-related operational issues
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate delivery of IT services
• Oversee delivery of user-facing IT outputs and services
• Supervise O&M staff, including:
• • Desktop Administration
  • Systems Administration
  • Network Administration
• Ensure operational processes align with ITSM best practices and federal compliance standards
