Business Manager

Job Description

Birdi Systems, Inc. (BSI) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Manager to oversee contract management, client services, and project coordination for key federal accounts. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient execution of service contracts, effective financial administration, and strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings a blend of business acumen, contract management expertise, and customer service skills to support BSI’s growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage maintenance contracts, including execution, renewals, expirations, and client relationships within assigned areas.
• Handle client requests, track service work via internal software, and support invoicing and KPI reporting workflows.
• Facilitate proposals with estimating departments, coordinate task orders, and drive proposal delivery schedules.
• Oversee subcontract management, including issuing task orders, preparing invoices, and coordinating task proposals.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable activities, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payment tracking.
• Assess existing contracts for cost reduction opportunities and service improvements; recommend new services and product standardization where applicable.
• Provide administrative and project support for ongoing initiatives, ensuring smooth site and office operations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 3 years of customer service or service management experience.
• 3 years experience in the security industry (Physical access control, CCTV, copper/fiber optic infrastructure).
• 3 years experience in estimating and project management.
• Proven experience in contract and subcontract administration, including task order management, invoicing, and proposal coordination.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage overlapping projects and shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
