Birdeez is an upscale entertainment venue offering a high-tech mini-golf experience, interactive darts, a quiz room, and a full-service restaurant. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere for guests of all ages. In addition to our main venue, we also serve food at our sister business, Reno Axe, located just across the street. Whether guests are enjoying a round of mini-golf, playing darts, or relaxing in our restaurant, we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience. Our waitstaff play an essential role in ensuring that guests are well taken care of and that food and drinks are delivered quickly and efficiently throughout both locations.
Position Overview:
As a Waitstaff member at Birdeez, you will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and attentive service to our guests. You'll take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure that guests have a fantastic experience while enjoying their games, food, and drinks. You will also be required to transport food from the kitchen (located downstairs) to various areas of the venue, and on occasion, deliver food orders to Reno Axe, our sister business across the street. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on their feet, working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering excellent service.
Schedule:
We are looking to bring on 1-2 servers to bolster our roster for Friday and Saturday nights. Position would start as just a Saturday evening shift with the option to gain more shifts as they become available in the future. We are also expending our food service to deliver togo orders to our neighboring business, Reno Axe. Should that require extra staffing we would be looking to provide more hours to existing servers before reaching outward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude. Take food and drink orders accurately, and ensure that guests' needs are met throughout their visit. Be knowledgeable about the menu, specials, and any promotions.
- Order Taking & Delivery: Accurately enter orders into the system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests at their tables. Deliver high-quality service while ensuring guests’ dining needs are met promptly.
- Food Transport: Transport food orders from the kitchen (located downstairs) to various parts of the venue. This includes navigating stairs and walking through different gaming areas (mini-golf, darts, etc.) to ensure timely and safe delivery to guests.
- Cross-Location Delivery: Occasionally, you will be responsible for delivering food orders to Reno Axe, our sister business across the street. You’ll need to maintain timely and accurate deliveries, ensuring food is served at the correct temperature and meets quality standards.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep your assigned work areas clean and organized. This includes clearing tables, refilling drinks, and ensuring that all areas are free of debris.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and bartenders to ensure smooth service. Assist in maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment, helping to provide guests with the best experience possible.
- Payment Processing: Handle transactions, including cash, credit card, and tips, ensuring accurate and efficient payment processing. Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with guests regarding checks and payment.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines. Ensure that all food is served in accordance with our quality and safety standards. Adhere to local laws regarding alcohol service and food safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a server or in a customer-facing role in a high-volume restaurant or entertainment venue is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the venue, including transporting food up and down stairs. Must be able to carry trays and serve food across various areas of the venue.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Ability to relay orders clearly and accurately to kitchen and bar staff.
- Personality: Friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented with a strong desire to provide guests with a memorable experience. Able to work well under pressure and remain calm and collected in busy situations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple orders at once.
