Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Manual Machinist based in Waltham, MA. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating manual machinery, reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and calibrating equipment, and ensuring the accuracy of produced components. Daily tasks involve inspecting finished products for quality, performing routine machine maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience operating manual machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Skills in measurement tools, inspection techniques, and quality control standards
- Familiarity with machine setup, calibration, and maintenance procedures
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to precise work
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Experience in manufacturing or precision machining is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications is a plus
