The Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator (RNAC) would:
- Ensure accuracy of all sections of Multiple Data Set (MDS) coding to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care (CMI).
- Ensure accuracy of clinical paperwork (assessment and accompanying documentation) to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care.
- Nursing Educator: - Serve as a primary trainer to the nursing department to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and thorough. This requires high levels of in-person interfacing with both residents and employees.
- Nurse Management: Serves as a key member of the nursing leadership team to clinically manage the unit in order to maximize patient-centered outcomes. This includes engagement in leadership standups and influence within interdisciplinary teams.
- Case management w/ managed care (maximize therapy and nursing services provided to residents in order to maximize patient-centered outcomes)
- Manage clinical and financial record keeping and dissemination of these records to appropriate payers.
- Take joint ownership of care conferences with social workers
- Perform other duties as required.
