What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Adult Day Program position at Birchwood Living Center?
We are seeking enthusiastic DSPs to join our adult day program team. You will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and help them build life skills, engage with their community, and achieve their personal goals in a fun, structured day time environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Integration: Accompany individuals on fun community outings, and recreational trips
- Skill Building: Teach daily living skills, communication strategies, and social interactions
- Daily Support: Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and mobility needs
- Activity Planning: Lead group activities, arts and crafts, music sessions, and adaptive sports
- Documenation: Keep track of daily progress notes and goal tracking
- Paid Training: We pay for your Maine DSP Certification, and CPR/First Aid Certs

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
