Overview
Birchwood Living Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at our licensed 15-bed Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICD-IID). In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to our clients, supporting both their physical and emotional needs. This is a permanent, direct W-2 employment position with our facility.
We are currently hiring for daytime shift (6am - 2pm) and evening shift (2pm - 10pm).

Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care tailored to the unique physical and emotional needs of each client.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
- Use safe patient transfer methods, manual handling, and equipment.
- Foster independence and self-determination by encouraging clients to engage in daily activities.
- Maintain a secure environment that balances client safety with a fun-filled, engaging atmosphere.
- Collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team to maintain the highest clinical and care standards.
- Document care accurately in medical records while protecting patient confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Position Requirements:
- Active State of Maine CNA Certification in good standing.
- High School Diploma/GED
- A compassionate, patient-centered mindset with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, clients, and medical staff.
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
