Production Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Supervisor to lead operations within our food manufacturing facility in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for overseeing safety, quality, production performance, staffing, and efficiencies for the assigned department on 2nd shift.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment and is comfortable supporting operational needs through overtime and weekend work as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet production demands
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
- Prepare and review daily production and efficiency reports; drive results to meet or exceed targets
- Ensure all quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance are met
- Verify HACCP documentation in accordance with the approved HACCP plan
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Apply BRC / Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) principles and ensure compliance through training and oversight
- Lead, motivate, and develop production team members to support engagement and performance

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of food processing experience with USDA and HACCP familiarity (meat industry preferred)
- Previous experience in an RTE (Ready‑to‑Eat) facility a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Meat Science, Agriculture Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Experience or training in HACCP, GMPs, Safety, Lockout/Tagout, and BRC or Global Standards
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
