Landscape Designer and Salesperson Summary:

The Landscape Designer and Salesperson will provide landscaping design services to Birchcrest clients as well as working with Birchcrest Salespeople to develop landscape designs for their clients. The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison between Birchcrest and prospective residential and commercial clients. This individual will guide customers from initial consultation through project completion, using their knowledge of landscape design, tree services, and customer service to deliver tailored solutions and close sales. This role blends sales, design consultation, and project coordination in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

This is a commission-based sales role with an on-target earning potential of $75,000 or more annually.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with and prepare landscape designs for Birchcrest Salespeople.
• Meet with prospective clients to define project scope, goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare and present landscape and tree service proposals to residential and commercial customers.
• Manage multiple client projects concurrently while generating and following up on new and existing leads.
• Sell and upsell Birchcrest products and services, focusing on long-term client relationships.
• Close sales and ensure smooth project hand-off to operations and design teams.
• Collaborate with design staff and field teams to ensure accurate job execution and billing.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated landscape design creation and installation experience, preferably with portfolio.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in the landscape or tree service industry.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to perform well under seasonal workload pressures.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design, construction, and tree services.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage full project lifecycle from concept to completion.
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to be part of a collaborative team.
• Proven design ability is highly desirable.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• NYSNLA Certified Nursery/Landscape Professional status is a plus but not required.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and carry.
• Able to lift and maneuver weights over 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
