GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
To work directly with Dietary Director to ensure dietary services and health department guidelines are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area, plus 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training, and 0 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Serve Safe Certified

- Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend monthly meetings with Director or Nursing and Dietary, maintaining regular communication.
- Maintains Serve Safe Certification and completes all other training requirements.
- Coordinate with Nursing Personnel regarding dietary needs.
- The ability to plan, develop, and prepare menus according to specific diet requirements.
- Follow selected menus and order food accordingly.
- Inventory and store food/supplies according to procedures.
- Complete Adult Nutrition documentation, if applicable to branch, by the 10th of every month.
- Maintain sanitary kitchen, appliances, equipment, and address safety issues.
- Supervise and provide employee orientation, training as needed, motivate, and monitor employee’s work and feedback for dietary employee evaluations.
- Provide scheduled meal planning groups during day treatment to encourage member input and cooking groups to improve cooking skills.
- Open communication with Branch Leadership.
- Builds and maintains positive relationship with food sales representative
- Maintains MSDS sheets for chemicals used in the kitchen
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
