What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at Birch Trail?
Cabin Counselors are at the heart of the Birch Trail experience. Under the guidance of the Directors, counselors create a safe, healthy, and positive environment where campers can grow, build friendships, and feel supported. Counselors live in a cabin with a co-counselor and a group of campers, providing daily supervision, guidance, mentorship, and encouragement.
In addition to cabin life, counselors lead and assist in teaching one or more camp activities—sharing skills, modeling enthusiasm, and helping campers try new things. The ideal candidate is fun, patient, honest, caring, and responsible. Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors with kids and be excited to help them have an unforgettable summer.
